What is Prep?
Prep is the shortened name for the Preparatory Year of School.
State preschools ceased to exist at the end of 2006.
Prep was introduced at Bracken Ridge State School from the beginning of 2007.
Prep is full-time - that is ten full days per fortnight, not five days per fortnight like preschool.
Prep is available to all children of eligible age and there will be no waiting list.
